| The Hessenberger Weir at a
water level of 130 cm. |
| This makes
for the absolute best conditions for successful fishing. The gravel banks to
the right and left of the dam are now dry, and the trout and grayling are
looking for nourishment along their edges. |

 |
| |
| There is no
problem in entering or leaving the water at the Hessenberger Weir. |

| The Ager
flows quietly past the overhanging bushes and trees during the evening hours.
In this slow current one can easily watch the Ager fish as they pursue
nourishment. Ring after ring from the rising fish and the flashes of the
suckers display the incredible fish population in the Ager. For a moment one
can forget fishing and just sit quietly on the river bank to watch the
activity in this flat stretch of the river. |
