| This photo
shows the Dorneter Curve at a water level of 200 cm. and higher. The
entrance of the dürre Aurach is completely flooded, and there is a very
strong current in the Ager. |

 |
| Hessenberger
Weir at 200 cm. |
| Because of
the heavy current, normal fly fishing at the Hessenberger Weir is
practically impossible. Wading above and below the dam is not advised
because of consideration for personal safety. |

 |
| The idyllic
appearance here is deceiving. Here on the TKV straight stretch, fly fishing
is nearly impossible. The shoreline stones that are easily traversed at
normal water levels are now flooded and often very slippery. The gaps and
holes between the boulders are hard to see and are very dangerous for
fishermen. |

 |
| At this level
the newly constructed dam below the TKV is having its first test of
durability. You can see how the current is slowed down, and how calm areas
are formed for the fish on both sides. However fly fishing is now out of the
question since the water is simply too high. |

 |
| At the
Riesenberg Curve a few small ponds form at every period of high water
because of the overflow from the Ager. Unfortunately trout, and big ones too,
are frequently pushed into these pools. Then they stay trapped in the pools
as the water recedes, and they must be returned to the Ager by our caretaker.
